Terms of service
In force from 26 September 2026.
1. Who we are
Hex Limited is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17468671, registered office 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF. You can write to us at hello@hexeria.com.
2. Who may use Hexeria
- You must be 13 or over to hold an account, and verified to use the apps. Your identity is verified by a check of a photo ID, a selfie matched to it and a liveness check, carried out by our verification provider, Didit; a document showing an age under 13 is refused and nothing from it is kept. What we keep from a successful check is set out in the privacy policy.
- Each app opens at its own age, worked out from your date of birth on the day. Unless an app says otherwise, that age is 18: today Chat, Drive, Notes, Calendar and Git are all for adults, and a verified person under 18 holds an account and waits. Hexeria ID, where your account lives, needs no verification. If an app’s age changes, its gate page will say so.
- One person, one account. A document verifies one account only. If a document is already on another account, the new account is refused. Do not create an account for someone else or let someone else use yours.
- Organisations are accounts that people act on behalf of. An organisation is created by Hexeria, and its own admins decide who belongs to it. What a person does while acting as an organisation is done by that person, on the organisation’s behalf.
- Keep your account secure. You are responsible for what is done with it. Two-factor authentication is required for verification and stays on afterwards; you can change the authenticator but not remove it.
3. What is not allowed
You must not use Hexeria to create, upload, share, link to or send content that is illegal in the United Kingdom, or that does any of the following. This applies everywhere on Hexeria: messages and attachments in Chat, files and share links in Drive, and whatever you keep in Notes, Calendar and Git.
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation of any kind, including grooming, or any sexual content involving a child.
- Terrorism: content that encourages, glorifies, instructs or recruits for terrorism, or supports a proscribed organisation.
- Pornography or other sexually explicit material.
- Content that encourages or assists suicide, serious self-harm or eating disorders.
- Intimate images shared without the consent of the person shown, including deepfakes, and cyberflashing.
- Threats, harassment, stalking, abuse, or content that incites hatred or violence against anyone.
- Fraud, scams, phishing, or the sale of stolen data, drugs, weapons or the proceeds of crime.
- Content that assists unlawful immigration or human trafficking, or that is a foreign-state interference operation.
- Malware, or attempts to break into, overload or interfere with Hexeria or anyone else’s systems.
- Impersonating another person or organisation, or evading a restriction we have placed on an account.
The apps that carry content are for adults, so a child should never meet any of this on Hexeria; if any of the above is aimed at or involves a child, it is treated as the most serious kind of breach.
4. Reporting content and complaints
If you see something on Hexeria that you think is illegal or breaks these terms, use Report on it: every chat message, profile and chat server has one, and so does every shared file and invoice link, which you can report without an account. Say what is wrong and anything that helps. You can also write to hello@hexeria.com.
Every report is looked at by a person, promptly, and the most serious kinds (child sexual abuse, terrorism, intimate images shared without consent) first. If you reported from your account, the Reports page in your account shows what became of it. The person you report is never told who reported them.
If we remove something of yours or suspend your account, the Reports page in your account says what we did and why, and a suspended account is told the reason when it tries to log in. If you think we got it wrong, write to hello@hexeria.com and say why: an appeal is looked at by a person, and if we were wrong we lift the suspension and say so. Removed content can’t always be put back, because some of it is deleted at once, as the law expects for the most serious kinds.
5. How Hexeria deals with illegal content
Hexeria is a small service and does not scan what you send or store. It relies on reports, and on what its own staff come across, and it acts on them quickly. For each kind of illegal content the law names, this is what we do:
- Terrorism content: removed as soon as we become aware of it, the account closed, and the matter reported to the police.
- Child sexual exploitation and abuse content: removed as soon as we become aware of it, the account closed, and the matter reported to the National Crime Agency, as the law requires of us.
- Other priority illegal content (the kinds listed in section 3): removed as soon as we become aware of it, with the account restricted or closed depending on what it was, and reported to the police where a crime against a person is involved.
Intimate images shared without consent are removed within 48 hours of a report we can verify. We do not use automated or proactive technology to look for illegal content; if we ever do, these terms will say so first. When we remove content or restrict an account we tell the person concerned and why, unless the law prevents it, and section 4 says how to complain.
6. Your content and your data
What you put on Hexeria is yours. We do not claim any right over it beyond what is needed to provide the service: to store it, show it to the people you chose to share it with, and serve it back to you. We do not read your messages or files except to deal with a report, a complaint or a legal duty, and we do not use them for advertising or to train anything.
How we handle personal data is in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
7. About the apps
- Drive share links can be opened by anyone who has the link. Share them with care.
- Chat messages can be seen by everyone in the conversation, and a disappearing message is deleted on a timer, not made secret: anyone in the conversation could keep a copy first.
8. Availability and changes
Hexeria is provided as it is. We work to keep it up and to keep your data safe, and we back it up every night, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may change or withdraw a feature; if we withdraw an app, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to take your data out.
9. Ending your account
You can stop using Hexeria at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to hello@hexeria.com. We may restrict or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will close one when the law requires it. Some records are kept after an account closes because a law says so; the privacy policy says which.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away the rights the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit, business or data, or for any indirect loss, and our total liability to you in any year is limited to what you paid us in that year, or £100 if you paid nothing.
11. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we will put the new date at the top and, for a change that matters to you, tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Hexeria after that is agreement to the new terms.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim where you live.
